Health 2.0: greatest hits of what I missed

Health 2.0: greatest hits of what I missed

Health 2.0 TVThank goodness for conferences which do a good job of capturing and sharing videos. So often I am choosing between sessions, talking with people in the hallway and missing a keynote or demo, or just failing to take notes.

Here is a selection of people and talks I missed in person at the recent Health 2.0 conference in Santa Clara, but am catching up on now:

Indu Subaiya, Health 2.0

David Kale, University of Southern California

Jamie Heywood, PatientsLikeMe

Now I need your help: If you were there and saw any of the demos, which ones caught your eye? If you weren’t there, but have time to review the videos, which ones do you recommend watching?

P.S. Self-promotion is completely OK in this context!! If you think I’d be interested in your app, start-up, research, etc. please post a link here.

      Susannah, hi,

Tx for putting this together. Loved your talks at Health 2.0. The compassionate way you described us all (that is, people) that you’ve researched helped put everything in perspective.

Sessions I loved were of Kinsa and 3Scan:

Now, to self promotion 🙂 You obviously couldn’t be everywhere, and you missed my live demo of Medivizor (http://medivizor.com or @medivizor), so here it is: http://www.health2con.com/tv/medivizor-birds-of-a-feather-online-patient-communities/

Would love to know what you think about it!

Thanks! I’ll watch these with great interest.

If you have time, check out the Team Finland demos, like:

Sadly, the vid doesn’t include the rousing “HO!” that the Finns used to get each other psyched up for each demo. Loved that.

I wasn’t planning to do any self-promotion, but since I have your blessing…

Traxion, a mobile ADHD app, won the Shire ADHD Transitions Challenge. Our 3.5 minute demo can be found at the link above.

It was great to meet you at Health 2.0, Susannah!

You mean you saw my keynote then left before Indu’s? That’s all I can assume 🙂

Ha! I decided to only include 3 links so as to not overwhelm people.

Let me correct this situation immediately.

My tip is Team Finland: when the country that brought you Angry Birds and Clash of Clans takes a stance on gamification in healthcare, interesting stuff is bound to happen.

If I had to name three, I’d view:
    YOU by Health Puzzle: http://www.health2con.com/tv/health-puzzle-team-finland/
    Serious Games: http://www.health2con.com/tv/serious-games-team-finland/
Meal Logger by Wellness Foundry: http://www.health2con.com/tv/wellness-foundry-team-finland/

    (Yeah, I’m from Finland…)

I totally agree! The Team Finland session was my favorite breakout of the whole event (see my comment above).

I’m so thrilled to hear that! I was also cheering for my team mates in the crowds – not on stage, though, since none of my projects are in funding phase right now 🙂

Another video I’m happily watching since I missed it in person: my friend Jeff Lee showing off the ADHD app that won the Shire challenge.

    Hi Susannah,

Traditionally we Finns don’t like bragging ourselves… but I’m very excited about our startup RecoApp! We combine the findings from sports and exercise science with the game-like UX, thus giving our customers health & fitness benefits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py0KyT3llDE
